MECHANICAL SWITCHING CONTACT CAPABLE OF QUICK SWITCHING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching contact of a high voltage switch or a medium voltage switch, which can be quickly switched with little energy consumption. SOLUTION: Fixed switching members 1, 2 are cylindrically formed, where a ring-shaped gap 81 is coaxially integrally formed therewith. A movable bridge switching member formed into a shape of a contact ring 3 is fitted into the ring-shaped gap 81, when a switching contact is in an off-condition. The contact ring 3 is moved along the axial line direction by means of an electrodynamic actuation having two coils. The switching contact can be switched very quickly and efficiently, since the mass of the contact ring 3 that is the only moving one of the members in the switching contact is small.
