摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium alloy thin formed body of a light weight, of high quality and having a small radius of a corner part and a boss part by forging. SOLUTION: A magnesium alloy thin formed body, which is formed by forging a magnesium alloy sheet stock, has an essential part thickness of <=1.5 mm, a rising inside corner part of a wall part and/or a chamfer/radius of an outside corner part of <=1 mm, a height of a wall part of <=30 mm and a boss part of a principal part thickness of ten times or less. A manufacturing method of the magnesium alloy thin formed body is constituted so that a magnesium alloy sheet stock of a sheet thickness of <=3 mm, with using the die having a chamfer/radius of a rising inside corner part of a wall part and/or an outside corner part of <=1 mm and having a recessed part in a punch or a die, is subjected to rough forging under a stock temperature of 200-540 deg.C, a forming load of 1-30 ton/cm2, a forging speed of 1-500 mm/sec, a draft of <=75% and then is subjected finish forging at a draft <=30%, an essential part thickness is made <=1.5 mm.
