PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent joint rotation with the adjoining two-pole magnet pair for color purity adjustment at the time of adjustment of the four-pole or six-pole magnet pair for static convergence adjustment. SOLUTION: The color cathode-ray tube comprises a cylindrical holder on which a pair of two-pole magnet pair for correcting the track of the electron beam and plural ring shape magnet pairs of four-pole magnet pair and six-pole magnet pair are mounted and in which a magnet assembly having a paint for fixing is mounted on the neck portion of the two-pole magnet pair. The cylindrical holder is provided with a shut-off mechanism for blocking the flow of excess paint material of the above paint for fixing between the two-pole magnet pair and the adjoining four-pole or six-pole magnet pair to be arranged, and thereby the joint rotation with the two-pole magnet pair is prevented at the time of the adjustment of the four-pole or six-pole magnet pair.
