摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor capable of suppressing the occurrence of image defects due to a leakage current as well as the lowering of image quality due to fog, a method for producing the photoreceptor and an electrophotographic device. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor 28 has an electrically conductive substrate 71, a middle layer 72 disposed on the substrate 71 and containing fine metal oxide particles 72a formed by an arc plasma method in a binder resin 72b and a photosensitive layer 76 disposed on the middle layer 72. Since the fine metal oxide particles 72a contained in the middle layer 72 have a smaller particle diameter than the conventional particles, the frequency of adhesion of the binder resin 72b present between electrically conductive passages formed by the particles 72a to the particles 72a is relatively high, and even when an electrically conductive material penetrates into the photosensitive layer 73, the binder resin 72b acts as a barrier to control a short-circuiting current flow and to suppress the generation of a leakage current. Since the fine metal oxide particles 72a have good dispersibility in the binder resin 72b, the lowering of image quality due to fog is suppressed.
