PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management device where a user can speedily reach a desired file without permitting the user to manage authentication information. SOLUTION: A home page file of a host 1 has tree structure and a file F55 exists at a lower order of a file F50. The file F55 has a link with respect to the file F50 and the file F50 does not have a link with respect to the file F55. The host 1 transmits an electronic mail including URL of the file F50 or the file F55 in accordance with the user of a personal computer 3. The user receiving the electronic mail can directly access the file F50 or F55. The user receiving the electronic mail having URL of the file F50 can access the file F50 but cannot access the file F55, and cannot learn even the existence of the file F55. The host 1 causes only the specific user to browse the file F55.
