PURPOSE: An intermediate branching device of a coaxial cable used for signal transmission is provided to simplify the configuration of a mechanical connector of the coaxial cable and the case of the intermediate branching device. CONSTITUTION: An intermediate branching device of a coaxial cable is inserted into the center portion of a signal transmitting coaxial cable line(8) and sets a predetermined number of branch terminals through a branch circuit. The intermediate branching device includes a case(1) having a cell(6). The cell accepts a center contact(9) directly connected to a center conductor of the coaxial cable such that a fastening member(7) set at the terminal of the coaxial cable is fitted into the cell. The outer cover and outer conductor of the coaxial cable is pressed and fixed by an auxiliary connection member placed between the fastening member and the cell when the fastening member is fitted into the cell.
