PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Shoji paper that has a sufficient level of photocatalytic activity as well as sufficient durability, transmittance and air permeability. SOLUTION: The objective Shoji paper 1 comprises the paper base layer 2 including no photocatalytically activated titanium oxide and both of paper surface layers 4a, 4b including the photocatalytically activated titanium oxide- carrying kieselghur particles 5 on both of the paper surfaces of the paper base layer 2.
