PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of easily and industrially preparing, a vinylsulfone compound from the corresponding hydroxyalkylsulfone compound. SOLUTION: The method for preparing a compound represented by formula [3] [wherein T1 represents a bonding or a lower alkylene group, R<1> to R<3> represent independently each hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, or including the case that R<1> and R<3> may be combined together to form an aliphatic ring, and the aliphatic ring may form a condensed ring together with an aromatic ring or heterocyclic ring, further these rings may have substituted groups] is characterized by reacting a compound represented by formula [1] [wherein T1 and R<1> to R<3> are the same as above] with a cyanuric halide represented by formula [2] [wherein X represents independetly a halogen atom].
