PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a core-shell type particle by which the particle diameter of the obtained core-shell type particle can be strictly controlled, and the surface function is uniformly exhibited; and to provide the core-shell type particle obtained thereby; and to provide an adhesive particle and an adhesive spacer particle for a liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: The method for producing the core-shell type particle having a resin layer formed on the surface of a mother particle involves a step for attaching resin fine particles having ionic groups on the surface of the mother particle having no electric charge in a liquid phase.
