The gutter (4) for a metal sheet roof (2) having parallel projections (12) in the direction of the roof slope and regularly spaced from each other by a lowest zone (14) is constituted from a section having a first part (16) adopting the slope of the roof and a second part (18) in the shape of a rainwater container and evacuation channel. The first part is joined to the second part in its external lateral edge (22) so as to form a cover for the container. The first part is fixed on the top of the projections by rivets (24) so as to determine a rainwater track between the roof consecutive projections and between the lowest zones of the roof and the first part.
