DIGITAL CAMERA AND COLORIMETER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of accurately correcting the colors of an acquired image on the basis of color component values detected by a portable colorimeter. SOLUTION: An image processing system 10 is provided with a digital camera 1 and a colorimeter 2 and capable of performing data communications between the digital camera 1 and the colorimeter 2. The colorimeter 2 acquires the color component values in the direction of an object and transmits the values to the digital camera 1. The color component values (colorimeter color component values) received by the digital camera 1 are recorded in association with image data on a memory card 9. When it is judged that the colorimeter color component values are being received from the colorimeter 2, the digital camera 1 does not perform color correcting processing and further records color characteristics information indicating characteristics intrinsic to the digital camera 1 in association with the image data.
