PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera system for providing ease of operations when an external display means connected to a digital camera via a cradle displays an image. SOLUTION: The digital camera system 1 comprises a digital camera 2, and a cradle apparatus 3. The digital camera 2 and the cradle apparatus 3 are electrically interconnected via a connector 33 and a connection terminal 40. The cradle apparatus 3 is provided with an operation code generating section 59 and a projection section 42. When an external display mode is selected by the operation of an operation section 21, the operation code generating section 59 generates an operation code as an analog signal, the projection section 42 receiving the analog signal projects an infrared ray signal of the operation code to a TV monitor 62 to switch the TV monitor 62 into an external input state.
