A composite panel, preferably of plastic, consists of a three-dimensional ly deformed middle layer and a layer or layers arranged on at least one side of the middle layer. The middle layer has protrusions formed on both sides of its midplane with end surfaces arranged at least partially parallel to the midplane. The end surfaces of the protrusions form a contact surface to receive the other layer or layers.
