PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm an image after remodeling by specifying an image re-covering area such as an external wall or a roof, and by replacing it with an image different in colors or pattern on an exterior image of a house imported by a digital camera. SOLUTION: On an image re-covering method on an architecture image which imports and displays an architecture image, specifies an arbitrary area in the displayed image, and re-covers it with an image prepared in advance according to the specified area and displays it, this system is provided with a reference point input step which inputs three points different from a reference point using a pointing device before specifying the area, a reference plane creating step which creates information about the reference plane of an architectural shape in the image based on the input three points, a plane information retaining step which fine adjusts and retains the created reference plane, and an area specifying step which specifies the area according to the information about the reference plane on specifying the area.
