PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which enables focus bracketing by automatically setting photographing conditions to optimum values according to lens conditions. SOLUTION: The camera detects a focus position by a zoom position detecting section 180 in a focus bracketing mode. When a release button 151 is half pushed, the camera detects a camera-subject distance by an AF sensor section 160 and detects an aperture value by the AF sensor section 170. The camera performs the focus control and aperture control of an optical system 110 based on the detected values of the camera-subject distance and the aperture value, calculates the photographing conditions, i.e., the bracket intervals of focus positions and the number of photographing sheets and automatically sets these photographing conditions.
