PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid misalignment in a black color which cannot be controlled by dot gain control. SOLUTION: A data converting means which converts image data into light source driving data includes: a color correction table to convert the image data into reproduced color density data represented by the density of the reproduced color; a density/light source driving data converting table to convert the reproduced color density data into the light source driving data; and a light source driving data table to switch the driving of the light source in the pixel unit by the combination of colors of the light source driving data. The density/light source driving data converting table includes: a YMC density/light source driving data converting table to convert the reproduced color density data excluding black (K) color into the light source driving data; and a K density/light source driving data converting table to convert the reproduced color density data of K into the light source driving data. Moreover, the K density/light source driving data converting table is configured in such a manner that when the K color is produced by the superposition of YMC dots on a photosensitive material, superposition of the YMC dots is aligned.
