PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition expressing≤0.12mg/L released amount of formaldehyde, and a material to which various characteristics such as applicability, hardening properties at low temperatures, the film strength of an obtained hardened coating film, weatherability, chemical resistance, stain tesistance, abrasion nresistance and the like, can be eassily and suitably imparted, if need. SOLUTION: The composition contains a compound expressed by general formula (I), wherein R1expresses H, methyl or ethyl; R2and R3express each H, or a group comprising C, H and O; but the case both R2and R3are methyl is excepted.
