PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording head unit arranged to simplify processing of a tube for connecting an ink tank with a recording head and to reduce the effect of inertial force of ink stored in the tube onto the recording head to a negligible level, and to provide an inkjet recorder capable of stabilized recording. SOLUTION: The recording head unit being employed in an inkjet recorder comprises a recording head performing scanning/recording of a recording medium, and an ink circulation system for supplying ink from an ink tank disposed in the body and circulating ink by collecting ink supplied to the recording head. An ink supply subtank located above the recording head in order to keep a specified ink liquid level for the recording head, and an ink collection subtank located below the recording head are provided on a carriage for scanning the recording medium while mounting the recording head.
