PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-dispersible lubricating agent for warm or hot forging which is excellent in dispersion stability, lubricity and reducing the staining of an environment around a machine tool, wherein the lubricating agent for warm or hot forging is a type of dispersing a solid lubricant and a base oil in water by emulsification. SOLUTION: The water-dispersible lubricating agent for warm or hot forging comprises (a) the solid lubricant, (b) the base oil, (c) a nitrogen-containing surfactant and (d) polyoxyethylene alkyl ether or ester (having 16-24C alkyl group).
