PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-resistant lubricant which can be used in a coil molding process for fasteners, as both a smoothing agent for a polyester monofilament and a lubricant for a coil molding machine, and does not create a sludge stack on a coil fastener at the working temperature. SOLUTION: The lubricant for coil production for fasteners consists of base oil and a surfactant containing sulfur-containing ester, and has a residue after 6 hour heating at 180°C in amount of 70-100 mass% on the basis of the amount of the lubricant before heating.
