PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating cooker capable of detecting abnormality of contacts of relays connected to both ends of a heater by discriminating abnormality of the contact of the one-side relay from that of the contacts of both the relays. SOLUTION: This heating cooker includes: the heater 21; the relays 23a and 23b respectively connected in series to both ends of the heater; relay drive circuits 24a and 24b; a control means 25 outputting drive signals to the relay drive circuits; a contact abnormality detection circuit 26 connected to one-side terminal of the heater to detect relay contact abnormality; and a current detection circuit 27 detecting a current flowing to the heater. The control means 25 detects contact abnormality of either of the relays 23a and 23b or that of both of them by discriminating them from each other by consistency among the output of the relay drive circuit, that of the contact abnormality detection circuit and that of the current detection circuit. Thereby, the heating cooker capable of determining whether contact abnormality is caused by only the one-side relay of the heater or both of the relays thereof, and composed by considering safety can be provided.
