PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety by covering contacts surely under a state where an apparatus incorporating a battery is not set. SOLUTION: A charging cradle includes contact cover 4 for covering the contact portion 3a of a spring wire 3 in the insulated state and reciprocating in the exposing direction and covering direction of the contact portion 3a, and a lock lever 5 for preventing the contact cover 4 from moving in the exposing direction. Under a state where an apparatus 20 incorporating a battery is not set in the charging cradle, a protrusion 5a of the lock lever 5 is located at a lock position projecting toward an attachment portion 2, and a latching portion 5b of the lock lever 5 latches onto the contact cover 4 thus preventing the contact cover 4 from moving in the exposing direction. Under a state where the apparatus 20 incorporating a battery is set in the charging cradle, the protrusion 5a is located at an unlock position where it is pushed by the apparatus 20 incorporating a battery to unlock the contact cover 4, and the contact cover 4 is pushed by the apparatus 20 incorporating a battery to move in the exposing direction thus exposing the contact portion 3a and touching the contact portion 3a to a power supply terminal 21 of the apparatus 20 incorporating a battery.
