PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dial lock which is mountable on a mail box etc. with a slide shutter, and free from production of noise. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the dial lock, an inner flange 17 and an outer flange 27 are arranged inside a cylindrical frame body in a manner being coaxial with each other and rotatable individually from each other, and the inner and outer flanges have unlocking notches formed at a predetermined angular location thereof, followed by forming protrusions on mutually opposed surfaces of the inner and outer flanges, to thereby align the unlocking notches of the inner and ouster flanges to the predetermined angular location by rotary operation of a knob cup. On the other hand, by fixing inside and outside engaging dies 31, 32 to the predetermined angular location, the inner and outer flanges are movable outward in one body, and then a lock bar, not shown, protruded from an inside of the inner flange in one body therewith, is drawn from the back plate of the letter box.
