PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine an accurate ascending/descending state irrespective of a device wearing state.SOLUTION: An activity amount measurement device 1 is used worn by a user, and includes an atmospheric sensor 17, an atmospheric data processing unit 53, a frequency variable low-pass filter 18, and a vertical movement speed calculation unit 54. The atmospheric data processing unit 53 acquires atmospheric information from the atmospheric sensor 17. The frequency variable low-pass filter 18 acquires information on the movement of a user's body. The frequency variable low-pass filter 18 determines noise which is attributed to the movement of the user's body, but is not related to the user's ascending/descending motion. The vertical movement speed calculation unit 54 calculates a vertical movement speed without regard for the identified noise. An ascending/descending state determination unit 55 determines an ascending/descending state of a slope on the basis of the vertical movement speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
