Tubular solid electrolyte is common to a number of cells of a battery, the axially spaced inner and outer sleeve electrodes of respective cells being staggered so that inner and outer electrodes of adjacent cells overlap to one side where they can be connected together through the electrolyte to put all the cells in series. Spec. the inner electrodes are of iron, nickel, cobalt and/or chromium, and the outer of silver-palladium alloy, conductive electronic oxides such as indium oxide doped with gallium, antimony or tin oxide. |
