<p>The system is for the height-speed metering of powdery, granular or flaky material into pressurised pneumatic conveyors, the material being delivered in slugs. The compressed air or gas is alternately supplied, for adjustable time periods, to a receiver filled with the material and connected to the conveyor pipe, and directly to the pipe itself. The unpressurised filling of material into the upper part of the receiver continues without interruption. The receiver can comprise upper and lower sections connected via a stop valve, each section being connected via a separately controlled valve to the compressed air source. The filler funnel for the upper section can be shut off by a stop valve, and a further valve can be provided for this section, connecting it to an exhauster for evacuation to aid quick filling.</p> |
