An ozone producing lamp with interior electrode is provided with an exterior electrode forming an integral part of the lamp wall, pref. in the form of a helix., by screen-printing, vacuum deposn. or electroplating. A potential can be applied to the outer electrode to counter the effect of static electricity on particles dislodged on the inside of the tube which tend to become wedged between the inner electrode and the wall of the tube.
