<p>The apparatus includes an adjustable speed measuring instrument with an adjustable warning commencement point. This actuates electrical contacts, which set in action an air fan which produces a slight pressure. This pressure acts on a small piston which shuts off the injection pump and actuates the exhaust operated rake. Once the set speed has been reached again both pump and brakes return to their original state. The apparatus may be applied to an ordinary diesel engine, and the speed at which the engine is cut off may be set before the start of a journey.</p> |
