Covering for recreational areas

A cover for a recreation area including a horizontally disposed cover structure suspended by an upright support member; which cover structure being moveable between a position preventing access to the area and a position clear of the area to permit access thereto. The cover structure may be mounted to be raised or lowered while remaining horizontal or may be pivotally moveable between a horizontal position and a vertical position. Desirably the cover structure can also move in a horizontal plane from a position above the area to a position beside the area.
