1434718 Moulding compositions BP CHEMICALS INTERNATIONAL Ltd 23 July 1973 [10 Aug 1972] 37403/72 Heading C3P Thermosetting moulding compositions comprise (a) a high vinyl polybutadiene (i.e. above 25% 1,2-bonded units), (b) a free radical initiator, e.g. 1,3-bis-(tertbutylperoxyisipropyl) benzene or a mixture thereof with 1,1-di-tertbutylperoxy - 3,3,5 - trimethyl cyclohexane, and (c) as a shrink controller atactic polypropylene. Exemplified compositions also contain (Example 2) silica, butylated hydroxytoluene andα- methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane, and (Example 4) calcium carbonate, glass fibre and trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate.
