The draught seal for fitting on or in the lower edge of a door comprises a U-channel (1) in which an element (2) carrying a flexible sealing strip (3) is slidable. The strip projects from the channel and is spring-loaded (7) to retract. The element (2) is coupled to an operating rod (4) which extends from one end of the channel. The rod acts on the element via a pivoted (11) cranked lever (10) in the channel to set the element into its operating position. Only one such lever is provided to act on the centre of the element, which is spring-loaded by two springs (7) at a distance from the lever. The springs may have one end fixed to the rod (4).
