<p>A screw-type cap which has internal threading for fitting onto a container having external threading is disclosed. The cap is provided with a stopper which projects into and seals the opening of a container when the cap is positioned on the container, and at least one bead-like enlargement is provided on the threading of the cap and/or container in the region of the beginning of thread commencement. When used with containers filled with pressurized contents this arrangement prevents a sudden blowing away of the cap when it is loosened for the arrangement enables the pressure to be substantially diminished before the cap becomes mechanically free from the container.</p> |
