<p>1527074 Turbomachine rotors ROLLS ROYCE Ltd 29 Sept 1975 [28 Sept 1974] 42229/74 Addition to 1318654 Heading F1T A turbine or compressor rotor for a gas turbine engine comprises a rotor 15 having axial slots containing the roots 16 of blades 17, and a centrifugally self-supporting continuous ring 19 surrounding the disc and having slots through which the blades pass, the slots being defined by bars 20 extending across the disc periphery under the abutting platforms 18 of adjacent blades to inter-connect radial end-walls 21 and 22 carrying sealing elements 23 and 24 co-operating with adjacent stator sealing surfaces, e.g. stator blade inner end shrouds. Bars may be provided between each pair of blades or, as specifically described, the bars may define slots wide enough to accommodate two blade roots.</p> |
