DOMBRA A process for the prevention of sulphur deposition in a heavy water production system of the type having hot and cold towers with liquid water and hydrogen sulphide gas passing through the towers in countercurrent isotope exchange relationship, the gas being recycled and the water entering the system from a feed and passing, after passage through the towers to waste, the improvement comprising injecting into the system, hydrogen gas sufficient to maintain a level of hydrogen concentration sufficient to prevent or reduce sulphur deposition.</p> |
