1. Process for the preparation of shaped bodies of fine-grained caking caol for gasification under a pressure between 5 and 150 bars by a treatment with gasifying agents which contain free oxygen, water vapor and/or carbon dioxide, wherein the fuel is formed into a fixed bed, which slowly moves downwardly, the gasifying agents are introduced into the fixed bed from below, and the incombustible mineral constituents of the fuel are withdrawn under the fixed bed as solid ash or liquid slag, characterized in that a part of the finegrained caking coal has a particle size below 0.1 mm and the balance of said coal has a grain size substantially above 0.3 mm, the two parts of said coal are mixed at a weight ratio of at least 1:2 up to 3:1 and shaped bodies are made from the mixture. |
