PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp suppressing an outer pipe from being broken without causing an increase in manufacturing cost while keeping an amount of light emitted to the outside.SOLUTION: A discharge lamp 10 includes a light emitting tube 510. The light emitting tube 510 is formed by joining a plurality of tube members A and B. At least one of the joining sections 518 of the plurality of tube members A and B includes a weak part W1 which is a part extending in a circumferential direction of the light emitting tube 510 and which has a joining strength weaker than that of a part different from the part of the joining section 518. For example, in the weak part W1, the thickness of the light emitting tube 510 in a thick wall direction is thinner than the thickness of the different part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
