Means controlling the emitted heating effect from a furnace which is fired with solid fuel. In the furnace the fuel (11) is fed to a zone of combustion (13) where it is combusted with excess air. Characteristic for the invention is that the fuel (11) is made to create an approximately evenly thick, air pervious layer, in said zone (13). During the combustion the air of combustion is forced from one side of said layer (13) to the other, the over pressure being sufficient for optimal combustion, but independent on the emitted heating effect. The regulation against a decreasing heating effect value is carried out by means of a corresponding screening of the other side of the layer. The regulation against an increasing heating effect value is carried out by means of a corresponding exposure of the other side of the layer, which is equal with a decrease or increase, respectively, of the volume of the zone of combustion (13). |
