PURPOSE:To improve productivity by kneading an active material into a paste like state together with a hydrophilic, viscous, alcoholic solvent beforehand, and spreading the paste on a porous holder, then spraying an aqueous dispersion solution of a polytetrafluoroethylene series polymer on it. CONSTITUTION:A hydrophilic, viscous, alcoholic solvent, i.e., ethylene glycol is added to active material powder, e.g., cadmium oxide powder, and they are kneaded into a paste 1 state. The paste 1 is kept in a container 2, and a punching metal 3 that is a porous holder is fed through the paste 1 by supporting rollers 4. The paste 1 is adhered on the metal 3, which is then pulled up and its thickness is controlled by a doctor blade 5. Next, a 30% solution 7 of a polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion is sprayed on the metal 3 from a nozzle 6. Then, the thickness is controlled by a heat roller, and after drying, a negative electrode plate is produced. |
