PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bottle-shaped synthetic resin container having an annular groove on a trunk, capable of enhancing a buckling strength while maintaining the side strength of the container.SOLUTION: A bottle-shaped synthetic resin container 1 comprises a mouth 2, a trunk 4 continuing to the mouth 2 via a shoulder, and a bottom 5 closing the lower end of the trunk 4. The trunk 4 has an annular groove 10 provided along a circumferential direction of the trunk 4 and recessed inward in a radial direction. The container is characterized in that first nearly triangular evagination parts 11 evaginating toward the outside of the container, and second evagination parts 12 having the nearly vertically inverted shape of the first evagination part 11 are disposed alternately, adjacently and continuously along the circumferential direction on the sidewall composing the annular groove 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
