The air scrubber may be connected with an air conduit conveying compressed air polluted by oil, water and dirt. It comprises a vessel provided with at least one air inlet (15) and one air outlet (17) and with a purge orifice for the impurities eliminated from the compressed air. The vessel contains a centrifugal chamber (19) fitted with a coaxial shaft (8) carrying a compressed air turbine (9) which is supported by the pivot (34) of the shaft (8) in an inlet chamber communicating by a port (33) with the main chamber (49) surrounding the centrifugal chamber (19). Cooling rings (25, 52) are arranged inside the wall (21) of the centrifugal chamber (19, 19a). At least one water purge orifice (28) is provided between two cooling rings (25, 52). Inside the wall (4) of the vessel (2) are arranged at a certain distance from the wall (21) of the centrifugal chamber (19, 19a), rings (45) for the discharge of water, of which the channels (47) are connected with a lower collector (48) communicating with the outside by an outlet orifice (50). The water as well as the oil and the dust particles conveyed by the compressor are eliminated in the centrifugal chamber (19, 19a) and evacuated through the orifice (50). |
