A carrier body (10) has a bore (18) and an annular pulley body (11) is mounted on and for rotation relative to the carrier body by a bearing (12) having a ring (13) seated on a surface (20) of the carrier body. The ring (13) is held against movement in one or both directions axially relative to the carrier body (10) by one or more abutments (21, 22) integral with the carrier body. Previously the carrier body had been deep drawn from sheet metal. According to the invention the carrier body (10) comprises a member cast or injection moulded, for example from plastics, and provides at least a part of the seating surface (20) and the or each integral abutment (21, 22). <IMAGE> |
