PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform travel control with improved stability under which neither vehicle behavior nor steering control becomes unstable even when traveling on a road with ruts on a road surface.SOLUTION: A target course on a road surface along which an own vehicle travels on the basis of map information is set as a first course. Target courses on the road surface along which the own vehicle travel on the basis of rut information are respectively set as second and third courses. A target course on the road surface along which the own vehicle travels on the basis of travelling road information and the rut information is set by comparing the first course with the second and third courses.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
