摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent a catalyst from overheating and deterioration in an effective manner, by providing a closed nozzle valve which intercepts the feed of secondary air to an exhaust system in time of detecting the high load driving of an engine, in case of a controlling device performing feedback control for an air-fuel ratio on the basis of an output out of an O2 sensor. CONSTITUTION:A device bearing the above caption installs an exhaust emission control device 14 in an exhaust manifold 12 and likewise installs a secondary air feeder 16 in the exhaust manifold 12 at the upstream side of the exhaust emission control device 14 in order to make it perform good exhaust emission control with the device 14, while an air-fuel ratio is feedback-controlled in a way of controlling an air bleed controller 36 by an ECU22 on the basis of an output out of an O2 sensor 20. And, also it controls the secondary air feeder 16 on the basis of the output of the O2 sensor 20 via the ECU22. In this case, when the engine load found out of an ignition signal is discriminated as being in a state of high loading at the ECU 22, it is to be made up so as to intercept the feed of secondary air to an exhaust system by the secondary air feeder 16.
