PURPOSE:To readily manufacture a gear, and enhance productivity, and practicably reduce gear meshing noise during operation, by superposing a plurality of thin gears and connecting these gears at respective deddendums and addendums by electro beam welding. CONSTITUTION:A gear 1 is formed by superposing a plurality of element plates 2 formed with tooth profile on their outer circumference by precisely pressing work, and connecting these plates at respective deddendums 2a and addendums 2b by electronic beam welding. Therefore, it is not necessary to use a gear cutter, and since the gear is mainly manufactured by a pressing machine, productivity is improved. Further, since the gear elements are connected at the deddendums 2a and the addendums 2b by electronic beam welding, a tooth surface of the gear is not molten, thus preventing change in material. Moreover, a gear meshing noise created during operation of the gear is rapidly damped by friction generated between contact surfaces of each element plate 2. |
