<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the number of cassettes disposed in a paper feeder by providing a hopper which can have the same paper feeding function as a usual paper cassette. CONSTITUTION:A paper feed table 7 is disposed on the upper surface of a hopper portion 4 in a paper feeder in such a manner that the forward edge thereof is capable of moving up and down pivotally on the backward edge thereof. Separating fingers 8 capable of moving right and left are mounted on the leading edge side of paper sheets stacked on the paper feed table 7. These separating fingers 8 are adapted to separate and feed out the sheet paper sheet by sheet. At the time of installing another cassette 15 where paper sheets of different size from the paper sheets stacked on the paper feed table 7 of the hopper portion 4 having such paper feeding function on the paper feed table 7, side guide plates 11a, 11b of the hopper portion 4 are slided outward to put aside the separating fingers 8 outward. After that, the cassette 15 is pressed from the upper surface of the paper feed table downward to be installed between front and rear stoppers 13, 14.</p> |
