PURPOSE:To process efficiently an interruption signal by holding the fact to an intermediate controller that a low-order device is operationable, and allowing the controller to transmit a signal corresponding to the holding state only when a request from a high-order device is incoming. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic disc device groups 40-70 generate an interruption signal. This interruption signal is supplied to a set input of a circuit 211 as an operationable interruption signal RDY. A CPU11 applies a transmission request signal to a terminal of a circuit 211 of an input/output controller 20 in order to confirm the operating state of a low-order device. The storage state of the circuit 211 is interrupted as an available signal AVL with a prescribed time interval. An interface circuit 21 for a high-order device is provided with circuits 211 corresponding to the number of magnetic disc devices, and the operation interruption signal AVL at each magnetic disc device is outputted in a timing desired by the CPU11. |
