LITHIUM CELL

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the safety of lithium cell employing liquid active substance for positive pole by employing lithium-boron alloy as negative pole active substance thereby improving the negative pole to be non-fusable. CONSTITUTION:Liquid active substance composed of thionyl chloride or sulfur dioxide is employed for the positive pole of lithium cell while lithium-boron alloy composed of Li7B6.17Li is employed for negative pole active substance. In such lithium cell, the lithium negative pole will never fuse under charged or heated condition. Consequently, explosion or breakdown of cell due to abrupt reaction of negative and positive pole active substances can be prevented.
