PURPOSE:The titled cosmetic obtained by incorporating a polyglycerol ester of a fatty acid and polyoxyethylene (POE) addition type nonionic surfactant in a system of water and an alcohol at a specific ratio without changing semi-transparency even in preservation for a long period within a wide temperature range. CONSTITUTION:A semi-transparent cosmetic obtained by incorporating (A) 0.01- 5wt%, preferably 0.1-2wt% polyglycerol ester of a fatty acid which is liquid or pasty at ordinary temperature, e.g. decaglycerol oleate, and (B) 0.01-5wt% polyoxyethylene (POE) addition type nonionic surfactant, e.g. POE alkyl ether type or POE sorbitan ester type, in a system of water and an alcohol at 0.01-4, preferably 0.1-0.3 weight ratio of the alcohol to the (water + alcohol). The weight ratio between the components (A) and (B) is preferably within 20:1-1:10 range, and the semi-transparency can be adjusted by selecting a suitable ratio. |
