PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery stack that can suppress occurrence of cracks in a membrane electrode assembly.SOLUTION: A laminate 3 of a fuel battery stack 1 is configured by alternately laminating plural fuel battery unit cells 2 in a lamination direction SD. In each fuel battery unit cell, a gas diffusion layer is disposed on each of both sides of a membrane electrode assembly while an outer peripheral area remains on one side surface of the membrane electrode assembly, an adhesive layer is formed to cover the outer peripheral area, a support frame is fixed to the outer peripheral area so that a gap remains between the gas diffusion layer and the support frame, a pair of separators are disposed respectively on both side surfaces of the support frame and the gas diffusion layer. The laminate is sectioned into a pair of an outside zone OR and an inside zone IR which are located at the outside in the lamination direction. The thickness of the adhesive layer in the gap of the fuel battery unit cell belonging to the outside zone is larger than the thickness of the adhesive layer in the gap of the fuel battery unit cell belonging to the inside zone.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
