PURPOSE:To prevent bad influence on high frequency characteristics caused by impedance of lead wires and make any side pin needless by nearly conforming the impedance of in-tube lead wires passing from traveling-wave-type deflection system to the base pin, to the characteristic impedance in the deflection system. CONSTITUTION:The line impedance Zw of in-tube lead wires 15a and 15b is expressed Zw=276log10d/a in case they are parallel wires, and the actual characteristic impedance ZL becomes ZL=KZW. When a line diameter of 2a=0.75mm and mutual distance of d=20mm are set up, the characteristic impedance is obtained in ZL=about 300OMEGA (K=0.63). Since the line impedance can be conformed to the characteristic impedance (about 300OMEGA) of traveling-wave-type deflection systems 1a and 2b, generation of reflection and distortion of signal waves can be prevented, enabling any side pin to be needless. |
